Upper air charts (300mb-500mb) to locate jet stream (JS) &

Surface chart to locate cold fronts (CF)

Stability Index (SI)

Terrain Roughness Classification (TR)

Surface Pressure Gradient (PG)

Site Terrain (ST)

Ground Type (GT)

The Seeing Coefficient (SC) is obtained by summing the assigned values for each of the seven identified contributions to astronomical seeing.

SC = JS + CF + SI + TR + PG + ST + GT
High values for SC indicate good seeing, low values imply poor seeing.
