Your membership dues are tax deductible

Membership is not just about personal benefits. Your membership dues support the work that RCA does in the community to promote the enjoyment and science of astronomy. Speakers, public star parties, classes and support for astronomy in schoolrooms, and outreach programs just to name a few of the programs that your membership dues support.

Your $24 membership includes the whole family residing at one residence and is good until June 30 of next year.
Note that memberships are family memberships. You are welcome to add names of additional family members (spouses, children),
 especially if they have their own email addresses and want their own access to the RCA Forum, or will be checking out books or telescopes from our library.

	IN PERSON at an RCA General Meeting - You can fill out the Current Member Renewal form, print it (or print it off and fill it in by hand), and bring it to a general meeting and turn it in at the membership table. $24 in Cash or checks only, please.
	VIA SNAIL MAIL in between meetings - You can fill out the Current Member Renewal form, print it (or print it and fill it in by hand), and mail it in to renew. The mailing address is on the form. Please do not mail cash.
	CREDIT CARD PAYMENT at any time - You can renew your membership online by using a credit card through our Paypal account. There is a $1 handling fee for this service in addition to the $24 yearly dues for a total of $25.

If you mail in your membership Please Note:

We only check the mail at OMSI twice a month and update the membership records once a month.

So if you mail in your membership just after a monthly meeting it won't be picked up until the following month and won't be added to the membership list until the end of that month. Your check won't be cashed until after the board meeting the month following that.

i.e. If you mail your renewal on July 22nd, we won't get it until after August 1st and won't post it until after August 18th and won't cash it until after September 7th. So it can take up to 5 weeks to update your registration or renewal and up to 7 weeks to cash your check.

Note: If you indicate that you wish to remain on or be added to the RCA Forum, it will take only about a day or so if you pay via Paypal. If you pay in person or via snail mail and wish to stay on or be added to the RCA Forum, please let us know and we'll temporarily place you on the RCA Forum until we can confirm payment.
